Bolton schools are to benefit from a national multi-million-pound Government funding boost.
Following a rigorous assessment process, Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has announced almost £483 million for 1,466 projects at academies, sixth-form colleges and voluntary aided schools across the country.
In Bolton North East, St Maxentius CE Primary School, Red Lane Primary School, St Paul's CofE Primary School, Tonge Moor Academy, Bolton St Catherine's Academy, Canon Slade School and Sharples School are set to receive money from the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF).
The aim of CIF is to keep eligible academy, sixth-form college and voluntary aided school buildings safe and in good working order.
Commenting Mark Logan MP said:
“I am very pleased that schools across Bolton North East will receive funding to make much needed improvements to school buildings.
“This funding will help ensure all children have the very best possible schools and education, enabling them to gain all the knowledge and skills they need for success.”
