VOLUNTEERS across Bolton North East are joining forces to help the most vulnerable in the area get access to essentials.
Mark Logan MP showed he wasn’t afraid of mucking in as he spent the morning packing food supplies and delivering them to households most in need. Speaking in the Trinity Retail Park, the MP for Bolton North East commended the initiative and said:
“I’m thrilled to see so many residents coming together and pooling their resources at this difficult time. The initiative being taken to help the elderly and vulnerable is incredibly impressive and will make such a difference to those who can’t access basic supplies.”
The effort is being driven by local volunteering organisations Urban Outreach and Bolton at Home. Packing is taking place at the Trinity Retail Park near the old staples building every day from 10am before being driven and delivered to those who are registered on the NHS’s most vulnerable list.
Mark Logan urged anyone who wants to get involved to contact him at mark.logan.mp@parliament.uk.
