Stamp Duty I support this policy I don't support this policy I'm not sure Other… Enter other… The Government has made changes to stamp duty to make it easier to buy a home. This will help first time buyers to get on the property ladder in two ways. Firstly, by increasing the level first-time buyers pay stamp duty on from £300,000 to £425,000. Secondly, they can access the relief on property costing less than £625,000 rather than the current £500,000. For non first-time buyers the government is cutting Stamp Duty by doubling the level at which people begin paying this from £125,000 to £250,000. What do you think of the changes to Stamp Duty?
