Over the past few days, I have received a sizeable amount of correspondence regarding the situation in Gaza.
As I informed the Prime Minister following his announcement in the House of Commons Chamber yesterday; Boltonians have an unbelievable amount of emotion, frustration and condemnation that the situation in Israel and Palestine has stirred within our community.
I stand with my constituents in wholeheartedly condemning the acts of terror that have not only targeted innocent adults but, even more barbarically, children. From the outset of these horrific events, the government has appropriately extended its support to the victims of unspeakable terrorism. I firmly believe that there is a shared consensus that the people of Gaza should be treated in accordance with international law. Together, we all stand resolute in our refusal to accept an escalating humanitarian crisis for the Palestinian population.
I would like to thank you again for reaching out to me at this difficult time. At this time, I offer my assurances in my commitment to urging the Government to do all that is possible to avoid further deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
I will continue to represent the views of my constituents in Bolton North East, Mark Logan MP
