Mark Logan MP has met with local residents to discuss the construction of wooden poles and metal masts which earlier this month appeared overnight across the constituency, causing much distress.
The internet service provider, IX Wireless Limited, failed to consult residents over the erection of the unsightly masts and poles with many left appalled at the sheer size of them.
Some residents even took to blocking pavements and driveways with their cars to stop masts, poles and cabinets from being built outside their homes.
Speaking with residents at a site in Bradshaw, the MP for Bolton North East said:
“Having met with residents across Bolton, scores of emails, represented constituents in formally holding government to account, I’ve now escalated this issue to the Minister for Housing and Planning demanding urgent support to rectify the monstrosities.
IX wireless have had complete disregard for people in Bolton and it needs to stop. Their response to my initial correspondence has been categorically unsatisfactory.
Residents have every right to be peeved off - the recent installation off Lea Gate in Bradshaw looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.”
The MP has written to local residents to further show his support and is encouraging people to write to him to support his campaign to find a solution. Get in touch via email mark.logan.mp@parliament.uk.
